The MOSAIC-approach to predict Drug Hypersensitivity Reactions
The concept of the MOSAIC approach includes in vitro models to predict a potential risk to produce DH and to understand its mechanisms.
The goal of the MOSAIC approach is to provide help in the risk assessment of drugs regarding drug hypersensitivity (DH) reactions. These were considered to be unpredictable, but a better understanding of these phenomena in recent years revealed some principles, which raises the hope to predict DH to a certain extent as well: As a result of these findings the MOSAIC approach was conceived and aim of the project is to further develop and apply this approach.
