ADR-AC provides:
- scientific advise whether performance of in vitro/in vivo tests is helpful to show a sensitisation to a certain drug in patients with presumed drug hypersensitivity
- complete analysis of patients with presumed drug allergies (in vitro and allergological workup including skin tests, if patient is available)
- tests to monitor allergic side effects of critical drugs during phase 1-3 development
- development of in vitro tests to detect a sensitising potential of a certain drug (preclinical risk assessment)
- cross-reactivity: analysis whether a new drug might cause allergies in individuals previously sensitized to a structurally related drug (the cross-reactive potential of a drug)
- drug bindings to T cell receptos (TCR): Such studies provide evidence for binding abilities of (new) drugs to TCR and are thus an important hint for its “immunogenicity”
- Basophil Activation Test (BAT): Such tests are provided for the detection of an IgE dependent hypersensitivity
